Securafil is a glass ionomer cement for direct restorations of cavity class III and V, tunnel preparations, and primary teeth. It can also be used as a fissure sealant. Securafil adheres well to enamel and dentin, hardens spontaneously, and can be polished after 15 minutes. The cement is radiopaque and releases fluoride into the tooth.
